a solid foundation part ii + consecration/surrender + the Lord, your portion

the key to abundant life + the biblical precedent + prayer for the filling of the Spirit
DAY 4 : BE LED BY THE SPIRIT
practical discipleship + morning quiet time + journaling your journey with God
the origin of CAKE & FLOWERS
the original CAKE & FLOWERS was a weekly event, three wednesdays in july, 2024. we met in our barn, twelve women, ages sixteen to sixties. each week my five kids helped me fill the barn with bouquets, baked treats, hand-foraged sumac tea, & candles, & we enjoyed a time of fellowship in the Spirit, learning about abundant life in Christ, discernment, practical discipleship, ministering to one another through the laying on of hands.
though the event itself wasn’t content-heavy, but rather focused more on prayer & ministry, this is the course material from the event. it’s been heavily revised so that it can now, hopefully, be helpful as a resource for personal study or retreat, or for your own small group event. whether you’ve known the Lord your whole life, or you’re a new believer, it’s my prayer that this course could be a blessing to you as you pursue a life of deep discipleship with Jesus!
